Jan. 29th, 2014 12:19 amLike right now, they were driving down a little two lane road on the outskirts of town in his beat-up old truck. A week ago, it had been driven into a muddy pond, but Jamie was a genius and somehow got it working again.
Which was probably a good thing, as it was her damn fault that it went into the pond in the first place, what with her having her hand between Leonard's legs at the time. She kept insisting that it was possible to get a guy off while he was driving and no one would be the wiser, but Leonard still kept driving right off the road any time she so much as put a hand on his knee.
Right now, she was doing considerably more than that. Her bright pinks lips were attached to his neck, sucking a nice hickey to the spot, and Leonard couldn't help but swerve from side to side on the dirt road.
The lights in the rear view mirror were inevitable.
Jamie, the innocent little devil that she was, slid back into her seat and folded her hands primly in her lap.
The state trooper's boots thudded on the gravel and stopped at Leonard's window.
"Son, you been drinkin'?"
"No, officer."
"You wanna tell me how come you can't drive a straight line?"
"Sorry, sir, it was just a little bit of fun."
Jamie bit her lip to keep from giggling.
"Try to have a little less fun, son."
"Yes, sir."
The trooper tipped his hat to Jamie, who still looked the picture of innocence. "Evening, miss."
"Good evening, officer," she grinned and waved him goodbye.
The trooper wasn't even back to his patrol car when Jamie was sliding back close to Leonard, trying to get a kiss out of him before the truck started up again.
But Leonard had reached his breaking point, and growled in her ear, "Jamie Kirk, you will keep your goddamn hands to yourself or I swear by all that is holy, I will tie them to the headboard when we get home."
"Better floor it, Bones," was her only response.
